Through service-learning, students learn and apply knowledge, skills, and experience as they address genuine community needs.
This group of Western Massachusetts service-learning advocates and practitioners will meet bi-monthly to share ideas and resources, and to advance community service-learning locally and regionally.
Facilitated by Hampshire Educational Collaborative’s Rich Cairn. Rich Cairn is a national leader in the service-learning movement. As Publications and Policy Director for the National Youth Leadership Council from 1987-1993, he helped launch a national movement. From 1993-2006, he and his wife, Susan Cairn worked with hundreds of schools and organizations as Cairn & Associates.
